Warm Spiced Wine
Our little tradition: every year on the weekend after Thanksgiving, we commence the holidays by making mulled wine and decorating for Christmas! Itโs such a fun time and throughout the years Iโve tested quite a few versions of mulled wine (some better than others). Warm Spiced Wine is the tried-and-true recipe that is 100% most delicious! Enjoy.
Ingredients
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 bottle of red wine
- 4 clementineโs juiced**
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 green cardamom pods cracked
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 star anise
- Garnish options: clementine peel extra cinnamon sticks, star anise
Instructions
- Combine the cider, wine, clementine juice, honey, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves and star anise in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Pour into mugs, garnish and serve!
